About Us
American Muscle was founded by Malcolm Terry, out of his passion for cars, especially American muscle cars and late model cars, and his love for Europe and Scandinavia, its people and customs. A dual citizen of the U.S. and the E.U., originally from Bristol, England, Malcolm has extensive family ties to the E.U. with family and friends native to Denmark, and aunts, uncles and cousins all over England.
"My father, Peter Terry, was born in Penarth, Wales but fancied himself a Dane more than anything and spent several years living in Denmark in the 70's. In fact, in the mid-70's my dad shipped his 1967 Pontiac Bonneville Convertible to Tjaereborg, and for a few years, drove the car around Denmark as well as England, which was a sight to behold. My dad loved Scandinavia and that car."
After a professional legal career for 13 years, Malcolm decided he wanted to be a part of a business he really enjoyed.
"I wanted to find a way to join my passion for American muscle cars with my heritage and love of Europe."
As a result, American Muscle was born. Based in Minnesota, U.S.A., American Muscle is dedicated to providing to the people of the E.U., who are owners and lovers of American late model, vintage, muscle, and classic cars, the parts they need to keep their cars running and looking their best and at peak performance. Parts which are predominately available only in America. Whether the parts are new, OEM, remanufactured or used, American Muscle will get the people of the E.U. what they need and want for their American cars.
Through Parts Finder, those of you in the E.U. will now have access to parts from thousands of salvage yards and suppliers of used original equipment parts that are readily and easily available in America for whatever American car you have. Whatever part you want, be it for a Ford, Pontiac, Chevy, Olds, AMC, Mustang, GTO, Charger, Chevel, Cutlass, Firebird, Thunderbird, Impala or America Hotrod or whatever American late model car you have, if the parts are here in America (which they are), American Muscle will find them and ship them to you! In fact, if you want an entire muscle car, completely restored or a restoration project to do yourself, it can be located, purchased and shipped to you in the E.U.!
Peter Terry passed away unexpectedly on December 1, 2006 leaving the "Pontiac" to Malcolm.
"My dad was an unbelievable person and will be missed. My dad took great care of the 'Pontiac', as he did with everything he owned; and the people he dealt with and knew, were treated with great kindness and respect. Anyone lucky enough to have known my dad or work with him, was left with the impression of quality and kindness and they know what I mean.
I will carry on my dad's care of the Pontiac and carry on my dad's consideration of others and love of Scandinavia. My promise, and that of my company, America Muscle, LLC, to the people of the E.U., is to treat them with respect and consideration in providing them with outstanding customer service as well as access to the parts available in America, which they need, to keep their passion for American cars alive, at a very reasonable price."
